Privacy
How we handle the information you share when you contact or book with The Prince of Wales, and the rights you have over it.
Who is responsible for your information
The data controller is LAPEN INNS - POW LTD (company number 15111022), trading as The Prince of Wales, 8 Northampton Road, Bromham, Bedford, MK43 8PE. We operate this pub as part of Lapen Inns.
LAPEN INNS - POW LTD is a private limited company registered in England (number 15111022). Its registered office is 77 Atherstone Avenue, Peterborough, England, PE3 9UG. This is the company's registered address, not the pub — visit us at 8 Northampton Road, Bromham, Bedford, MK43 8PE. You can check the Companies House record (opens in a new tab).
For anything about your information, call us on 01234 822447 or email theprince@lapeninns.com.
Bookings and enquiries
Booking a table involves your name, contact details, party size and requested date and time. Online booking takes place on Nabatable's website. Read its privacy and cookie notices before entering your details. You can also contact the pub by phone.
When you contact us, share only what is needed to answer your question or arrange your visit. This website has no enquiry submission form: email and phone links open your chosen app.
Allergies and access needs. Please discuss arrangements with the team before your visit, but avoid sending medical histories or other guests' health details in an initial enquiry. Health information needs additional protection. Choosing to disclose it does not, by itself, establish explicit consent. Ask the team how your information will be used before sharing sensitive details.
Using this website
The website application does not load analytics or advertising tools, and it provides the address and travel details as text. Directions and our official food hygiene record are external links; following one sends a request to that service. The Google Maps map on our contact page is optional content and loads only if you allow it.
Serving and protecting a website involves technical requests, including IP addresses, requested URLs and browser information. Hosting and security services handle these requests. Email services handle messages sent to our published contact addresses.
Optional content and privacy choices
Your current choice
Checking your saved choice…
On this website, optional content means the Google Maps map on our contact page and the live Food Standards Agency hygiene badge in the footer. Each only loads if you allow optional content. When they load, Google and the Food Standards Agency may receive your IP address and browser information.
Booking, phone, menus, opening hours, directions and the link to our official food hygiene record on food.gov.uk (opens in a new tab) work whatever you choose.
We keep your choice in this browser for 180 days, then ask again. You can change it at any time from Privacy choices at the bottom of every page. Turning optional content off removes it from the page and stops it loading again. It doesn't delete information a provider has already received.
Processing details and retention
The lawful bases for handling bookings, enquiries and any health information, provider roles, retention periods and any international-transfer safeguards are awaiting confirmation. We cannot currently provide verified deletion periods for booking records, messages or allergy and access information. Please contact us using the details above for information about your particular enquiry or booking, or to request deletion.
The external booking provider's notice explains its own processing. A link to that service does not mean this website can control its storage or delete records held there.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK GDPR gives you rights to access your information, correct it, request deletion, restrict its use and object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
The right to data portability applies to information you provide where automated processing is based on consent or a contract. You can ask for that information in a commonly used, machine-readable format and, where applicable, ask for it to be sent to another organisation.
Use the email, phone or postal address above to make a rights request. The usual legal response period is one calendar month, subject to applicable legal extensions or pauses. This is separate from the complaint acknowledgement period below.
Data protection complaints
To complain about how your information is handled, email theprince@lapeninns.com, call 01234 822447 or write to The Prince of Wales at 8 Northampton Road, Bromham, Bedford, MK43 8PE. Explain your concern and how you would like to be contacted. No special form is required.
Data protection law requires us to acknowledge a complaint within 30 days, make appropriate enquiries, keep you informed of progress and provide an outcome without undue delay.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab) or on 0303 123 1113.
